«Claude» or «Клод», depending on the dictation language you chose, starts recording in the Claude window.

Your words appear in the input field as you speak.

The message goes out after 1.5 seconds of silence, or right away on the send command. Then Claude's microphone closes.
What it does
Commands are recognised on your PC
The wake name and the command words are matched offline. The helper sends no audio anywhere and does not save it.
Claude's microphone is off after every command
Dictation ends with the command, so Claude never hears the conversation around you.
Ignores look-alike words
Words like «холод» or «cloud» are picked as exceptions automatically. Add a missed one from the tray menu.
English or Russian
Switch the dictation language in Settings: the wake name, the command words and the speech model follow.
Pause on a hotkey
Ctrl + Alt + V by default. A key, a combination or a mouse button.
Updates itself
The tray menu announces a new version. One click installs it, after its checksum is verified.
Your voice stays on your PC.
The helper recognises its commands offline and adds no audio upload of its own. Your dictated text goes through Claude's own voice input, exactly as if you had pressed its button; the helper only presses the buttons and, when you say «send», briefly reads the input field to drop that word. Its only internet access is the update check on GitHub: no accounts, no telemetry.
Questions
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”.
The installer is not digitally signed yet, so SmartScreen does not know it. Choose More info, then Run anyway. You can compare the file with the SHA-256 checksum on the release page.
Which language do I speak?
English or Russian. Choose the dictation language in the helper (Settings, General, Dictation language; Russian by default) and in Claude (Settings, General, Voice, Language). The language of this site and of the helper's interface is a separate choice.
Does it work with Claude in another interface language?
No. The helper needs the Claude app in English; with another interface language it shows a notice and ignores the commands.
Does it work when Claude runs as administrator?
Yes, with one step: the helper notices it and offers to restart itself with the same rights.
Does the Claude window have to be in front?
To start, stop, open a new chat or choose a folder or a session, yes. An option in the settings brings the last Claude window forward when you say the name. Send and cancel finish the dictation in the window that is recording.
How do I update?
The tray menu tells you about a new version and installs it in one click. Your settings stay.
